  8. I'm Phil Harrison, Director of Product Development
  9. at Sony Computer Entertainment based in London.
  10.  
  11. We are the group responsible for the launch of the PlayStation
  12. in Europe and the support of software developers who are writing
  13. for the machine in the UK and Europe.

  15. I've been working on PSX for 18 months now and have been lucky
  16. enough to see the project grow from a concept, through a 
  17. prototype, to the final machine on sale in December 94.

  19. I am fascinated by the wave of informed (and often uninformed)
  20. comment about PlayStation that is on this news group.

  22. By joining this news group I'll try to set the record straight
  23. on certain issues.  I hope you understand that I can't answer
  24. every question - Non-Disclosure Agreements being what they are.

  26. Most of all, I'd really appreciate your comments and feedback.
